Same Route, Different Day

While out cycling the other day, one thing struck me that I hadn’t been aware of before. When I go cycling, particularly on my own, I nearly always go the same route . When I’m cycling myself, I always leave Edinburgh by an old railway line to Musselburgh, then take my favorite road, the old A1, out through Tranent and MacMerry. Once I reach Gladsmuir, it’ decision time. Do I take left down through Longniddrry and along the coast that way, or carry on towards Haddington and climb up and over the Garlton Hills? At the moment the Garlton Hills is my preferred route.

However, I never of tire of them and enjoy them as much as I did  the first time I rode it. Conditions are always changing and the seasons are always changing so each run feel different to the last. Also what changes a lot ia the way that I feel. Sometimes IO feel really fit and strong while other time feel slow and sluggish. The wind makes a big difference depending on how strong it is and the direction its blowing in. I could do the same route every single day and still really enjoy it!
